Summary of the module.

It has been an ambition of mine for many years now to have my own website.

Being able to develop it myself, exactly how I want to and being able have full control over its design and functionality has been a real asset instead of having someone else build it for me.

There are a few small restrictions with the website building software Wix.com that I have used.

These are however, relatively minor problems compared to the fact that I now have my own bespoke, professional motorsports website.

I have always wanted to have my own domain name as well and finally having  this for my own website is very satisfying.

The initial feedback that I have received from family and friends about my website has been incredible.

It is great that I have have the knowledge to build my own website and I intend to develop this online presence much further to cover my phonographic practice as whole instead of just my motorsports photography.

I also work as a wildlife photographer, a general sports photographer and an events photographer. I have also successfully photographed many weddings in the past and would like to be able to incorporate all of these elements of my photographic practice into my website in the future.

I am now confident that I have the knowledge to do this and as my domain name and website are now registered, I will have no additional expense.

Writing my personal statement has made me realise that I am a professional, I already have a huge amount of industry experience, a professional portfolio, lots of professional contacts and I am also about to graduate From University with a degree in photography.

This is a very exciting time for me and I cannot wait to finish University and start my own business.

I have successfully completed a two-day course with the Careers and Development Department at the University and will use the skills and knowledge that I have taken from this experience combined with the continued support and mentoring that I will receive to start my own freelance photography business.

I know that this will take a massive amount of hard work and commitment on my behalf. But I truly believe in myself and know that if I continue to show the same level of commitment and dedication that I have demonstrated over the last 3 years at University, that I can be successful in the future.
